A festive craft beverage pop-up store is opening at intu Metro Centre tomorrow
Cumbria’s The Lake Distillery has joined forces with County Durham’s The Pip Stop, the retail division of Lanchester Wines, to create a joint retail store this Christmas.
Opening tomorrow, 2nd November, the store will be open until the end of January to cater to all customers visiting intu Metro Centre during the festive period.
The pop-up concept will offer artisan craft beverages, including The Lakes award-winning spirits portfolio, local and national craft beer, seasonal gifting and handpicked wines by The Pip Stop.
Customers in the North East will also be amongst the first to get their hands on The Lake Distillery’s eagerly anticipated ‘Spirit of Christmas’ Baubles. The baubles are available individually as 20cl and as a six pack for 5cl, filled with a range of spirits including gin, whiskey and vodka.
Housed in the upper red mall, the store will create over four Christmas temp jobs from management to retail assistant roles.
Also available in store will be The Lake Distillery’s Christmas crackers and a range of branded glassware.
The Pip Stop will bring a range of craft beverages to the table, giving customers the opportunity to both sample and buy the ranges from across the world, including beer, wine and pet gifts.
Another offering from The Pip Stop will be the Metro Centre’s first Growler filling station, which will act as a brewery tap system for customers to take home draught craft beer.
