Clapham's Minnow shakes it up with cocktail masterclasses
Clapham Common’s neighbourhood restaurant Minnow, will be inviting guests to try their hand at mixology this November.
Each Tuesday evening the Cocktail Masterclasses will focus on a different creation inspired by a Clapham landmark or famous character, including The Temperance Fountain and Natsume Sosēki.
Hosted by Minnow’s resident cocktail expert Marco Giovanelli, the evening event will kick off on 14th November with ‘The Natsume’. Inspired by the Japanese novelist who has a blue plaque in Clapham, ingredients will include sakè, green tea syrup, lemon juice, ginger and egg white.
The following two weeks will be themed around The Grieg and The Minnow, mixing flavours such as dry vodka with seawater and rum with chestnut liquor.
Overlooking Clapham Common, guests can enjoy seats at Minnow’s marble counter in the heart of the restaurant, whilst Head Chef Jake Boyce creates accompanying bar snacks to complement the evening’s drinks.
Chris Frichot, Founder, commented: “Tuesday nights are looking up - we’re excited to welcome guests, old and new, and can’t wait to see them shake things up at the Minnow bar, while giving them the expertise to stir their own tipple at home!”
Minnow is open 6 days a week, serving up seasonal dishes, cocktails and coffee alongside weekend brunch and Sunday roasts menus.
The Cocktail Masterclasses will run on Tuesday 14, 21st and 28th November at 7pm. Tickets are £15 and can be purchased by calling 020 7720 4105.
