Remembrance Sunday at intu Metrocentre
A special Remembrance Service will take place at intu Metrocentre on Remembrance Sunday honouring the servicemen and women who lost their lives in conflict.
intu Metrocentre Chaplain, Lyn Jamieson, will lead a special Remembrance Service at 3pm on Sunday 12 November in Town Square, near House of Fraser, paying tribute to those injured and killed in action, as well as friends and family who have been affected since the First World War.
The Ad Murum Singers from Heddon-on-the-Wall and The Salvation Army, Newcastle City Temple Band, will be performing at intu Metrocentre between 2.30pm and 2.50pm. Members of the Air Training Corps and young cadets from the police will also be present to pay their respects.
There will also be a two minute silence at 11am on Saturday November 11 at intu Metrocentre’s Poppy Chandelier.
