Richard Hughes, Moore Blatch

Moore Blatch has appointed commercial property expert, Richard Hughes, as a partner.

Hughes is based in the firm’s London office, specialising in commercial property and land development. He acts on various transactions including property investment, corporate occupier and retail property work.

He is also experienced in acquisitions and disposals, portfolio management and landlord and tenant instructions. Hughes joins the company from Boodle Hatfield in which he spent seven years there, after training at Mayer Brown.

Blake Hughes, Philip Kingsley

Luxury haircare brand, Philip Kingsley, has appointed its new CEO, Blake Hughes.

Hughes is to focus on defining the company’s long-term strategy and capitalise on emerging opportunities in the UK as well as internationally and online.

He said: “I am thrilled to join the Philip Kingsley team at such a prominent juncture in its evolution. I am excited to work alongside the Kingsley family and entire team to create an even more dynamic and customer centric brand, building on the entrepreneurial spirit and unique proposition that has been established.”

Joan Kingsley, on behalf of the shareholder board, added: “We are delighted that Blake is joining us at the helm of the Philip Kingsley group of companies.

“He will be responsible for leading the overall direction of the organisation. Blake is an exceptional leader with unique skills to develop and strengthen our clinics, our products, our people and our culture. We look forward to welcoming him to the Philip Kingsley family”.

Blake joins the company from premium skincare brand Murad where he was managing director for three years. Previously, he held roles as managing director for Elizabeth Arden; board member of CTPA (Cosmetic, Toiletries and Perfumery Association); beauty reinvention project leader for Marks & Spencer, as well as managing director of Procter & Gamble.

Blake studied chemistry at Oxford University, began his career in the haircare sector, and has now amassed over 20 years of experience in global beauty care.

Ben Kelway, Lichfields

Planning and development consultancy, Lichfields, has appointed and promoted long-serving employee, Ben Kelway, as its new senior director.

Kelway joined Lichfields in 2002 after completing an MPhil in town planning at University College London. Afterwards, he became a senior planner in 2005; associate director in 2008 and was promoted to planning director in 2014.

Lichfields’ chief executive, James Fennell, said: “Ben is a highly-valued member of staff with a broad range of experience across many disciplines.

“This promotion is recognition of his outstanding efforts over the last 15 years.”

Ben has experience advising public and private sector clients on major housing and mixed-use development projects in London.

Ben also oversees Lichfields’ daylight and sunlight team. He acts as an expert planning witness at public inquiries and hearings, and has advised on Lands Tribunal and Leasehold Valuation Tribunal cases.

He added: “Lichfields places a strong emphasis on staff progression within the company and I am delighted with my promotion to senior director. I enjoy working with our well-respected client roster and hope to further progress my career with Lichfields over the coming years.”

David Allison, Draper & Dash

David Allison has been appointed as a strategic advisor at Draper & Dash, with a strong focus on moving the firm’s plans forward to deliver healthcare data and analytics.

Allison is a former chief operating officer of Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and is a current member of the NHS North West Leadership Academy Board, which influences strategic decisions in digital health.

Orlando Agrippa, CEO, said: “I’m truly excited to have David on board. He will provide expertise in leadership and innovation as we strive to make more global digital exemplars a reality and meet the government’s commitment to a more digital NHS.”

With some of the largest healthcare providers in the UK, US, and Australia as clients, Draper & Dash has been providing value to NHS healthcare practices as part of its digital offerings.

George Davies, Hambro Perks

Hambro Perks has appointed George Davies as a partner to progress the next stage of business development.

Davies is to focus on expanding Hambro Perks’ investment verticals and to build the firm for global growth.

Prior to this new venture, Davies was an associate partner at McKinsey & Co in its London office. His main responsibilities at Hambro Perks are focused on strategy and corporate finance for various clients worldwide.

Dom Perks, co-founder of Hambro Perks, said: “I’m hugely excited to welcome George as our newest partner at Hambro Perks.

“As we continue to grow both HP and our tremendous portfolio of great British tech companies, his experience and leadership will be hugely valuable.”

Davies added: “I am deeply committed to our mission of backing and growing great British tech-enabled business, and supporting them as they scale and globalise.
