Healthtech app delivering doctors to your door launches crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs

New healthcare start-up, Qure, has today launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs, the UK’s most active investor in private companies. The campaign will offer investors the chance to join an innovative new tech business at a key time within the health industry, and will give Qure the opportunity to grow and deliver its service to a wider population.

Primarily self-funded, Qure is an on-demand healthcare app that delivers a doctor to your door at an affordable price. The service currently has over 350 practitioners registered, utilising the exceptional pool of doctors from GP surgeries and hospitals across London, including Guy’s, St. Thomas’, Chelsea and Westminster, and King’s College. Qure provides a health service that is up to 40% cheaper than existing private healthcare and offers flexible appointments at a time and location to suit the patient, rather than the practitioner.

Due to rising demand, Qure has recently expanded its reach from Clapham to cover Central and South West London. Families and busy working professionals across the capital have a growing appetite to access more flexible healthcare, which Qure is well-placed to provide.

Charlie Harington, Founder at Qure, commented: “Patients struggle to access treatment in the timeframe they require it, we wanted to create a service that could give people convenient healthcare in a flexible location to suit them, be it the comfort of their own home or at work. In contrast to telehealth providers and remote video appointments, we offer face-to face treatment that provides a unique sense of reassurance, especially when it comes to seeing children.

“We believe that there is a real opportunity for rapid growth in a market with few established competitors. This investment will allow us to capitalise on this by building consumer awareness, as well as bring our development capabilities in-house, which will allow us to focus on improving our product every day.”

It was also recently announced that Dan Warne, Deliveroo’s UK/IE Managing Director, and Tim Ringrose, CEO at M3 EU/doctorsnet.uk have joined the Qure board in a mentoring role to the start-up’s founders, Charlie Harington and Alex Templeton.

Dan commented: “I loved Qure’s founding team and their vision for a business that operates in a space ripe for new direction. It’s only natural that they’re keen to serve a broader London population, especially as there’s such a demand and limited competition at present. The confidence I have in the concept, and the ability of the team to execute and deliver it, speaks for itself and I’m looking forward to being part of what’s set to be an incredible journey.”

Tim said: “Everybody recognises that the NHS is under tremendous pressure and there’s also an awareness that digital has a large part to play in healthcare that’s yet to be realised. I see Qure revolutionising the way healthcare can be delivered for a generation living at a faster pace than ever; providing a vital service in a more efficient, cost effective and convenient way.”

The campaign is now live and interested individuals can join the journey from as little as £10. For more information, please visit: www.seedrs.com/qure
