KPMG Newcastle reveals new hires and promotions
Big Four accountancy firm KPMG has announced the appointment of 17 new recruits, plus the promotion of 21 staff members, at its Newcastle office.
The new starters make up this autumn’s graduates intake, as well as six apprentices who join KPMG’s six-year 360o apprenticeship programme.
The business says the newbies will gain experience working across all areas of the firm, including audit, tax and advisory or business services, before choosing where to specialise, securing professional qualifications along the way.
KPMG’s office in Newcastle is home to more than 160 professionals, including four partners and 12 directors.
David Elliott, Office Senior Partner at KPMG in Newcastle, said: “I’m delighted that our office has been joined by an impressive intake of recruits as we invest in the best emerging professionals.
“We believe that recruiting a combination of graduates and apprentices encourages a wide range of people with different skills and experiences to join us – all of which contributes to the diversity of thought we are able to bring to our clients.
“It’s also vital that we nurture talent, investing in our team at every level. I would like to congratulate those who have been promoted; they are shining examples of what is possible with hard work and dedication and their continued support will ensure we’re well-placed to support our clients in achieving their ambitions.”
