Leeds-based food brand takes to the streets of London with Mexican Mariachi band
Leading snacking brand, Mug Shot, produced by Leeds-based food manufacturer Symington’s, promoted their new limited edition flavour – Chipotle and Lime Chicken – by bringing a taste of Mexico to London on November 2nd, the official date of ‘Day of the Dead’.
Mug Shot entertained London-based office workers, students, residents and tourists by serenading them with traditional Mexican music, played by an authentic Mariachi band that were transported around London in a branded Mug Shot taxi.
The band had their faces painted in traditional ‘Dia De Los Muertos’ style, and samples of the new flavour were given out to the public as part of the activity.
As well as being spotted around the streets of London, The Mariachi band entertained office workers at Bauer, LadBible, Oxford Street and Carnaby Street plus students at the University College London campus.
Mike Benton, Head of Snacking at Symington’s, said: “Being able to bring our new limited edition flavour to life alongside our Mug Shot taxis that are currently operating in London has really allowed us to create a fun and memorable brand experience for Mug Shot, successfully bringing our proud Yorkshire brand to the Capital.”
The new ‘Day of the Dead’ flavour, Chipotle Chicken and Lime, is available in major supermarkets.
