Mobile Mini Wakefield branch doubles in size

The Wakefield branch of Mobile Mini, a leading hirer of portable site accommodation and secure storage containers has doubled in size, signalling the Company’s commitment to West Yorkshire.

The expansion comes after a period of significant growth within the West Yorkshire area for the Company, which has 16 branches nationwide, from Glasgow to Southampton.

Having outgrown its original site due to a significant surge in demand for its services over recent years, Mobile Mini’s extended Wakefield branch will offer many advantages to its customers, such as quicker turnaround times and greater product availability, while allowing the company to maintain its reputation for excellence in customer service.

Now housed on a five-acre site, the branch consists of modern office units for the 18 employees to work from, improved workshop facilities, a yard dedicated for storage containers, as well as a yard for portable site accommodation units, shot blasting facilities and an enhanced self-storage facility.

“Everyone is delighted with the additional space within the branch. The office employees love their new offices to work in, and the yard now operates more efficiently and effectively. We can now offer quicker turnaround times and great product availability to our customers, as well as offering increased space to our self-storage customers too,” said Wakefield Branch Manager, Paul Abbott.

Expanding the Wakefield branch is one of several investments made by Mobile Mini over the last 12 months, with the Company having recently invested £1 million into its range of industry-leading, energy-efficient, Groundhog mobile welfare units as well as investing £250,000 in the training and development of its staff throughout 2016.

Commenting on the expansion, Managing Director, Chris Morgan, said: “These are exciting times at Mobile Mini, as we go through this period of growth and investment, whilst still striving to maintain our reputation for exceeding our customers’ expectations. We are currently reviewing our facilities in a number of branches to ensure we are able to support our growth plans and we expect that to lead to further branch expansions in the future.”
