Victoria Gate Casino aim for a full house with the launch of largest poker room in Yorkshire
North England’s only ‘super casino’, Victoria Gate Casino, has expanded its gaming offering with the launch of a new poker room and an exclusive VIP Area.
The £30m casino, which is based in Leeds, now holds one of the biggest poker rooms outside of London.
Housing up to 180 players at one time, an increase of 80, the new area will host large poker tournaments as well as offering a larger space for regular players.
With prize pools of up to £20,000, the tournaments will provide the venue with the opportunity to welcome talented poker players from across the world to visit the region.
Alongside the new poker area, the casino has also unveiled new VIP area Ruby Lounger, an exclusive private space for those looking for a luxury gaming experience. Dedicated coupiers will be on hand, as well as gaming tables, a bar and access to the venue’s V Restaurant.
The 50,000 sq ft entertainment and gaming destination, which opened in January this year, sits at the top of Leeds’ Victoria Gate development.
Patrick Noakes, Managing Director at Victoria Gate Casino, said: “We are delighted to be enhancing our offer with a new VIP area and an expansion to our poker offer in response to demand.
“Poker is massively popular in Leeds, so we’re very excited to be launching the largest poker room in Yorkshire - and one of the biggest outside of London - right here in the city.”
Victoria Gate Casino is operated by Global Gaming Ventures under a license awarded by Leeds City Council in 2013.
