This is how much money Manchester City generated in 2016/17
Manchester City have achieved their third consecutive year of profitability.
The club’s latest earnings report, published today (November 9), shows that City generated a record revenue of £473.4m in 2016/17.
The sum, a year-on-year increase of 21%, marks the first time in MCFC’s 123-year history that earnings have risen above the £400m mark.
Profits for the period came in at just over £1m, while net debt continued to remain at zero.
City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said: “This report is about making sure our fans and our partners can see the true detailed status of every aspect of the club.
“What hopefully comes across is that the football organization and off-field business have the right symmetry and balance to allow us to continue to further strengthen and grow.”
