Exact Abacus Enhances Regional Presence with New Partner Agreement
Fast growing fulfilment technology and services specialist, Exact Abacus, have further increased parcel capacity with the addition of Grimsby-based online retailer John E Haith Ltd (‘Haith’s’) to their partner network.
Haith’s will provide high-quality storage, pick, pack and dispatch services under licence, becoming the second member to join Exact Abacus’ Partner Network since its launch in April 2017. This innovative fulfilment platform enables online retailers to generate revenue from under-utilised resources whilst providing Exact Abacus and its clients with unprecedented, regional and international reach. Haith’s modern warehouse is based on Grimsby’s flagship Business Park, Europarc, North East Lincolnshire, boasting excellent transport links and is situated close to Immingham docks, which handles 55 million tonnes of cargo every year. It also benefits from good access to the UK’s busiest container port, Felixstowe.
The addition of Europarc increases Exact Abacus collective capacity by over 1,000 parcels per day and offers new capabilities in co-packing and white glove storage for high-value and fragile items.
Lee Thompson, Sales and Marketing Director at Exact Abacus comments, “the Exact Abacus brand is fast becoming synonymous with ecommerce fulfilment and applied technologies that, combined with the right partners, enable us to deliver an unrivalled level of service to customers and their consumers. Europarc gives us a regional presence in the East and we are fortunate to be partnering with such a well-respected and forward-thinking company in Haith’s.”
Exact Abacus plans to recruit more Network Partners across the UK over the next 12 months before embarking on expansion in the US and Australasia. Their proven software and management systems are at the core of an almost-infinitely scalable fulfilment platform that currently enables the Buckshaw-based firm to dispatch up to 5,000 parcels per day on behalf of over 85 clients.
Simon King, Associate Director at Haith’s, added: “this is a great move for our business and we’re pleased to be working closely with Exact Abacus. The agreement enables us to leverage our significant investment in the Europarc facility and the fantastic team of people here. We have seen significant growth in ecommerce first hand. We aim to provide a fulfilment service that’s more environmentally friendly, from a building that’s geographically suited to lean logistics, which is important to us as market leaders in our field. We’re therefore looking forward to helping Exact Abacus’ clients lower their logistics and warehousing costs so they, too, can evolve with an ever-changing market.”
