It's a double! Knight Frank's office agency team wins two major awards
The Leeds office agency team of global property consultancy Knight Frank has won two major property industry awards this month.
The team, headed by partner Eamon Fox, swept the board at the prestigious CoStar Group awards, underling the team’s growing reputation as the most accomplished and most successful in Yorkshire.
The team won an impressive four of five awards in the CoStar league tables, including the most active agent by number of instructions and disposals, while Burberry’s move to Queen Street in Leeds, brokered by Knight Frank, won CoStar’s deal of the year.
Meanwhile the team had another reason to celebrate, having been named as the best in Leeds in the definitive Estates Gazette League Tables, claiming its first pole position after almost doubling the amount of space it transacted in the year to the end of July compared to the previous 12 months.
Across 51 deals, which included Burberry’s move to Queen Street as well as 22,000 sq ft to BW Legal at Enterprise House, Knight Frank enjoyed a bumper year in Leeds. Carter Towler, in second place, was 60,000 sq ft behind.
Eamon Fox commented: “We are absolutely delighted to have fared so well in these awards, but we couldn’t have done it just by ourselves. We would like to say a massive thank you to all our clients, who are loyal and supportive and help us to deliver the deals which make us the most successful office agent in Leeds.
“This has been an awesome year. At the heart of what we do is a desire to keep innovating with landlord and occupiers and ensure collaboration with our clients each day. We are tremendously proud of this success – and are looking to build on it in the coming months and years.”
Meanwhile the Leeds office agency team, together with Knight Frank’s Sheffield office, also won a major honour at this year’s Yorkshire Property Awards, triumphing in Best Large Agency Practice of the Year category.
Henrie Westlake, partner at Knight Frank in Leeds, commented: “We were delighted to win this prestigious and coveted award especially as it was voted for by an expert committee of property professionals. It has been a very exciting year for the property industry in Yorkshire, as elsewhere, and we have managed to put together some significant deals in a growing market.”
The Yorkshire Property Awards, which this year marked their 20th anniversary, celebrated the best commercial property deals and businesses in the region, and raised more than £230,000 for children’s charity Variety.
