The Market Creative becomes first Manchester creative agency to strike gold for investment in people
The Market Creative has become the first creative agency in Greater Manchester to achieve Gold accreditation against the sixth generation Investors in People (IIP) Standard.
Based in Trafford Park with 18 employees, the agency joins just 16 other companies in Greater Manchester so far that have achieved IIP Gold against the latest version of the Standard since it was launched in late 2015.
The Market Creative has held Investors in People accreditation since 2014. For its latest IIP Gold achievement it went through a comprehensive review of how it leads, manages and supports employees including interviews and observations of the team.
Sue Benson, Managing Director at The Market Creative explains: “When we gained IIP Standard accreditation, I realised that I didn’t want to just be good, I wanted to be outstanding and to be an example of how a small business can be amongst the best in the country for people management. The latest version gave us a framework to achieve this.
“There has been an enormous amount of work involved for the whole team to become IIP Gold, but it’s been one of our proudest achievements and is helping us to demonstrate our people values that we live every single day.

Supporting organisations for the last 25 years to improve performance through people, Investors in People is the international standard for people management and defines what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results.
Underpinning the Standard is the IIP framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Gold is one of the highest levels of Investors in People accreditation that can be achieved.
The Market Creative’s Gold accreditation against the sixth generation Standard will continue for three years subject to annual reviews.
