Advanced Supply Chain boosts its tech capabilities with new hire
International logistics specialist, Advanced Supply Chain Group (ASCG), has appointed Chris Moran as Head of IT Delivery, investing further in its Intelligent Supply Chain offer.
Bradford-headquartered ASCG was founded in 1997 by Mike Danby, CEO, and Glyn Rogan, CFO. An innovative logistics partner, it delivers bespoke end-to-end supply chains across the globe, with customers including Urban Outfitters, DFS and Jaguar Land Rover. The business operates 11 sites within the UK and Europe, while its freight forwarding division, Advanced Forwarding, also operates two offices in China.
Chris joins ASCG from Provident Financial, bringing with him 21 years’ experience in all aspects of software development, testing and agile delivery methodologies.
As Head of IT Delivery, Chris will lead the implementation and continued development of the company’s bespoke IT solutions. Innovative technology underpins ASCG’s growth strategy, with continued investment in its Intelligent Supply Chain solution reinventing the way goods are stored, handled, transported and ultimately delivered to the consumer.
Chris explains: “My passion lies in breaking down the barriers between ‘IT’ and ‘business’, what attracted me to ASCG is the focus on technology and innovation at the core of their business model. In many businesses, technology is simply a means to an end, yet ASCG’s vision is to drive the business forward using new and innovative technology.
“I’m pleased to be working for ASCG to deliver bespoke solutions that will continue to develop our Intelligent Supply Chain offer, providing customers with a better, more efficient way to manage their supply chain.”
