Students rate Nyenrode Bachelor programs as number 1 in the Netherlands
The Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration and the part-time BSc in Accountancy at Nyenrode Business Universiteit were rated as the best programs in their category in the ‘Keuzegids Universiteiten 2018’ (selection guide for universities). The BSc in Business Administration even tied for first place in the ranking of all bachelor programs in the Netherlands.
The ranking of universities with the best education is published once per year by the Keuzegids, and is based on scores from students as well as the opinions of educational experts. The Keuzegids is an independent guide that describes and rates all recognized degree programs in the Netherlands.
Formative character The BSc in Business Administration at Nyenrode far outshines all other business administration bachelor programs in the Keuzegids. In the intensive academic program aimed at personal development, students at the campus in Breukelen are poised to play a leading role in the business world of the future. The selection guide’s advice for prospective students is clear: ‘At Nyenrode you get value for money: the program surpasses all others with ecstatic scores’ and ‘current students consider Nyenrode an absolute must’.
Mark Slaman, Program Director for the BSc in Business Administration, is proud of the score achieved by this three-year program, which has been offered at the Nyenrode campus since mid-2016: ‘It’s wonderful that our students value the quality of this young program so highly. The combination of academic content, practical relevance and the campus experience give the program a formative character, and that is an excellent fit for the students.’ Earlier this year, the program was also rated best academic bachelor in business administration and economics in the Netherlands by studiekeuze123.nl, with a score of 4.7 out of 5.
Professional preparation The part-time Bsc in Accountancy was rated as the best program in the Fiscal Economics category as well. The accountancy students spend one day per week at one of the eight locations in the country (Breukelen, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Eindhoven, Breda, Arnhem or Zwolle) and work at an accounting firm on the other four days. The selection guide states that the Nyenrode program is ‘fantastic for professional preparation’: ‘The format in which students work four days and study one day is clearly a success.’ Marjolijn Oussoren, Head of Program for the Bsc in Accountancy, is ‘very happy’ with this rating: ‘It’s great that we can consistently keep the quality of the program at this high level for our students, and that this is also appreciated.’
