Award win for PR consultant
Staffordshire-based PR consultant, Danielle Booker has scooped a top PR award at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide West Midlands awards. The owner of technical PR consultancy Lyme Communications won the Silver award in the Outstanding Independent Practitioner category.
Competing against top PR consultants from across the West Midlands region, Danielle was commended for a campaign she conducted for a Greater Manchester-based rail manufacturer. The campaign achieved extensive coverage in national and international rail publications, plus editorial in this year’s edition of The Parliamentary Review, alongside Prime Minister Theresa May.
Based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Lyme Communications works with clients from various sectors, but has specialist expertise in manufacturing and construction PR. Former journalist Danielle Booker said: “The award win tops off a momentous year for Lyme Communications and is acknowledgement of all the hard work I’ve put into building my business over the last four years.
“This year, I’ve won new business, created and delivered outstanding PR campaigns and achieved national and international media coverage for my clients, I’ve also become a part-time lecturer at Staffordshire University, teaching a module on PR Campaigning. The award win is recognition of my position as an industry leader in the West Midlands.”
The CIPR received over 950 entries from public relations teams, consultancies and individuals across the UK, and the awards were judged by public relations professionals. The PRide awards recognise outstanding work that has been delivered for clients and employers and identifies a commitment to the highest standard of practice in the industry. The ceremony took place on Friday, November 10 at The Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham.
