iSmash teams with tech specialists Maplin to bolster UK footprint
iSmash, a UK tech repair specialist, has announced a new retail partnership with technology stockist, Maplin.
This is following iSmash’s expansion plans, seeking to extend its reach across new UK locations. The company is rolling out three new locations during its pilot phase over the coming months in places like St Paul’s, London, and Stevenage.
Julian Shovlin, founder and managing director at iSmash, said: “We’re incredibly excited about launching this pilot partnership with Maplin.
“We believe that iSmash can deliver value by helping Maplin reach a younger demographic, while we’ll be able to further expand our store footprint and add to our growing base of 350,000 happy customers.”
The news follows customer research carried out by Maplin, seeming to identify an appetite amongst customers for a high-quality tech repair service.
iSmash has managed to increase its year-on-year turnover by 108 per cent from £7.5m to £11.8m this year alone.
Within the next couple of months, the business is planning to open a further seven stores, including places like Oxford Circus and Covent Garden.
