Sky’s the limit for Harrogate property scene
Sky’s the limit as Harrogate embraces roof top living
A HARROGATE estate agent is predicting the sky’s the limit as the town’s latest homes trend gathers pace
Roof top living has been embraced by other cities in ever increasing numbers - and now it is adding a new dimension to the town centre in Harrogate
No fewer than 5 of the 8 townhouses at Roof Top Gardens at Back Dragon Parade have already been snapped up, as the appeal of alfresco dining and a drink under the stars strikes a chord with homebuyers
The fourth floor outside living space is not the only sought-after feature designed into these homes – each is also topped off with the Harrogate town centre rarity of a double garage, big enough to house two Range Rovers.
All the four-bedroom properties are being marketed by the Harrogate office of Linley & Simpson, with the three remaining family homes available from £379,950.
Anthony Metcalfe, Senior Branch Manager of Linley & Simpson, said: “It is great to partner with such an innovative scheme that breaks new ground in town centre living.
“These homes provide a different dimension to town centre living in so many ways, it is no surprise they are popular.
“The success of the development signals the growing lifestyle appeal of having an outdoor living, dining and entertaining area.
“The potential is offers is something for savvy developers to tap into in Harrogate – and something we should be shouting from the roof tops!”
Located in little-known backwater just a short stroll from everything that Harrogate has to offer, all the properties can be purchased with a deposit as little as 5% through the Government’s Help to Buy scheme.
As well as the private, open plan roof top living space, another key attraction is the living/kitchen area which occupies the whole of the first floor. This creates a living/family hub with windows to front and rear, a contemporary white kitchen, and an island unit with integrated appliances.
The master bedrooms has its own en-suite facilities.
With gas central heating and uPVC double glazing, these contemporary homes are designed to suit families, busy professionals, or indeed investors who should see a healthy rental return from such spacious homes.
They have been created by Cross Green Developments, whose director Mark Rycroft said: “Linley & Simpson’s dedicated new homes marketing service has provided a proactive and sustained marketing approach delivering the required results.
“This, combined with their professional approach pre and post sales, rounded the experience.”
