Travis Perkins sells off three North West trade counters
Builders’ merchants Travis Perkins has secured buyers for three of its surplus sites in the North West.
The Northampton-headquartered firm sold its Woodhouse Lane trade counter in Wigan; another on Boodle Street, on the outskirts of Ashton-under-Lyne town centre; and a third in Sandside, Cumbria, which sold for approximately £900k.
All three were snapped up by private individuals.
Travis Perkins was advised on the deal hat-trick by the Manchester-based logistics and industrial team at commercial property firm Cushman & Wakefield.
Will Kenyon, chartered surveyor at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We are delighted to conclude these recent disposals on behalf of Travis Perkins.
“Whilst there have been a number of branch closures across the North West, they continue to acquire new premises and have a number of active requirements in the market.”
He added: “We continue to work with Travis Perkins and have ongoing instructions with them across the region both on the disposal and acquisitions front.”
