Dublin Aerospace, strongly tied to the UK, projects 70 million euros turnover by 2020

Dublin Aerospace, one of the leading Irish providers of aerospace MRO services, is projected to reach a 70 million euro turnover target by 2020.

In addition, Dublin Aerospace has created 150 full time positions as part of its ambitious growth plan.

With its founders having 50 years’ worth of experience and specialising in Airbus A320 and Boeing B737 Base maintenance, the thriving company is looking to offset industry-wide fears regarding skills shortages and new economic climates head on. This increase in turnover will not only be attributed to bolstered service to the UK but also to wider Europe and the Far East.

As a result of government agency Enterprise Ireland’s support, which has been working with the business since day one, 30% of Dublin Aerospace’s business now comes from the UK. It has managed to facilitate and strengthen ties between Irish aerospace companies including Dublin Aerospace within the UK through investment, supporting R&D, management development and training.

Ireland has particular expertise within the aviation and aerospace sectors. There are over 250 companies active in the aviation and aerospace sector in Ireland, contributing over €4.1 billion to GDP and supporting 42,000 jobs in Ireland[1]. The aviation & aerospace sector constitutes a highly skilled workforce, but it is not averse to fears of skills shortages[2].

However, Dublin Aerospace has countered this by operating one of the biggest apprenticeship programmes within the aviation sector, amounting to 100 apprentices and trainees with 30 graduating per year. With its focus on a new generation of skilled workers, Dublin Aerospace is leading the charge on supporting talent within the Irish aviation & aerospace sector. These workers will not only be facilitating collaboration between the UK and Irish aviation & aerospace industries but will also provide the foundation to Dublin Aerospace reaching its 2020 turnover target.

Most recently it has had a presence at the world-renowned Farnborough Air Show with its own Aviation & Aerospace Ireland pavilion. With a range of client companies in attendance across the aviation & aerospace supply chain.
