Meet the North East scaleup leader galloping among global Gazelles
Ian Kinnery, scaleup coach with Team Massive Results, ventured stateside last month to attend an invite-only conference for Gazelles International Coaches, in St Louis.
One of only four Gazelles International Coaches in the UK, Ian’s expertise lies in providing business owners with the advice, support and practical steps needed to enable sustainable growth.
Gazelles International Coaches, which boasts a 200-strong coaching network worldwide, provide clients with a toolkit and practical ‘how to’ approach for growth which involves focusing on four critical business decisions – people, cash, strategy and execution - in order to maximise revenue, profit and time.
Those involved in the body undertake over 45 hours of Continuing Professional Development each year, on a par with the requirement for highly specialised professionals such as dentists, doctors and pilots.
Ian recently started working with the Entrepreneurs Forum, to help launch the North East’s first Scale-Up Leaders’ Academy.
Aimed at established, fast growing businesses who have ambitions to scale-up quicker, the academy takes business leaders through a mix of role modelling events, practical workshops, peer-to-peer monitoring and one-to-one business scale-up coaching, provided by Team Massive Results.
Ian said: “Gazelles Coaches from around the globe meet twice a year to ensure we remain at the cutting edge of our profession.
“We have the opportunity to learn from the best thought leaders in the world, are brought up to date with the very latest in management practice and have the chance to share our successes and learning with each other, as peers.
“In St Louis, we benefited from world class speakers and published authors such as Mark Sanborn, Gregg Thompson and Bob Chapman in what was essentially a ‘money can’t buy’ master class in management thinking.
“As a result, I’ve been able to share this learning and pass on the benefits straight to our Team Massive Results’ clients as they strive to scale up and achieve sustainable business growth.”
