Developer Canmoor delivers £3m upgrade at Liverpool’s 20 Chapel Street
Work on a multi-million pound refurb at 20 Chapel Street in Liverpool has reached practical completion.
The £3m project transformed the office development’s 12th floor from two separate suites into a single 7,917 sq ft floorplate.
Commercial property developer and asset manager Canmoor has carried out a rolling programme of works at the 15-story Grade-A building over the last 15 months, enhancing vacant floors, communal areas and toilet facilities.
The company also overhauled the site’s ground floor reception area to include a new café space, occupied independent coffee chain Bean.
Canmoor director Sam Walker said: “Liverpool’s shortage of Grade A office space has been well documented, and this was why we felt investing in 20 Chapel Street, which holds such a prominent position within the city’s commercial district, was so important.
“Now that the reception and café installation is complete, the refurbished 12th floor has to be the best available Grade A office space in the city.”
He added: “Feedback from tenants on the upgrade works has been very positive and has generated increased interest in the remaining 25,000 sq ft of available space.”
Joint agents on 20 Chapel Street are Worthington Owen and CBRE.
