Visualsoft generates 472% sales boost for The Lakes Distillery
Leading eCommerce agency, Visualsoft, has helped to generate a sales increase of 472% for boutique alcohol company, The Lakes Distillery, through a successful new business partnership.
The impressive year-on-year uplift was also mirrored in The Lakes Distillery’s online traffic – up 939% vs. October 2016.
November’s figures are set to be even stronger, with year-on-year online sessions and revenue up by 568% and 354% respectively. Visualsoft is set to exceed revenue targets for the Cumbria-based handcrafted spirits specialist, in their first year of working together.
Visualsoft has been working closely with The Lakes Distillery team to create a bespoke quarterly marketing strategy - including a series of seasonal campaigns - to create buzz amongst a fresh and wider audience. This included the launch of new flavoured Gins, Christmas Baubles and awareness-building for a crowdfunding initiative that raised over £1.2million in just four days.
Using target audience insights, plus the addition of new brand personas, Visualsoft’s marketing teams created content and imagery to appeal to specific, tailored audiences. Results were achieved through a mixture of tactics such as bespoke email marketing, an overhaul of website pages to grow conversion, PPC advertising and targeted social advertising.
Visualsoft provides a bespoke eCommerce solution to over 1,000 retailers, and is committed to helping businesses grow online. The company operates an innovative payment structure, Shared Success, in which clients such as The Lakes Distillery are charged on a percentage of their increased online sales, rather than by an upfront or fixed fee.
Victoria Bishop, senior marketing strategist at Visualsoft, said: “We were confident in this partnership from the outset; The Lakes Distillery had clear direction and we were excited to work together to achieve success. Our marketing insights and consultancy have paid off and the relationship is proving a success for both parties, which is really encouraging. We have high hopes for the rest of November and December and even higher hopes for 2018.”
Karen Ripley, Head of Ecommerce at The Lakes Distillery, said: “We are putting online activity at the heart of our business model, it gives us global scale. We have massive ambitions the future of the English whisky market, and we need partners that will enable us to deliver that vision.”
