Berkeley DeVeer unveils £70,000 Xmas discounts giveaway

DEVELOPERS LAUNCH £70,000 GIVEAWAY WITH THE ‘X-MAS FACTOR’ FOR ONE SELBY HOMEBUYER

YORKSHIRE developers have unwrapped a present totalling £70,000 of savings for one lucky homebuyer in Selby this Christmas.

The festive giveaway will see Berkeley DeVeer offering a £25,000 price reduction on its detached four-bedroom “The Dorchester” show home at Rosewood Vale in Hambleton; £15,000 of upgraded extras; and £30,000 of luxury furniture and accessories throughout.

“It’s a deal that we really do believe boasts the ‘X-mas Factor’,” said managing director Dan Newett.

“We have created more than 1,000 homes since we launched and this Selby offer represents the biggest Christmas giveaway we have ever undertaken.

“The deal, which brings the price down to just £325,000, is available to anyone who reserves the property by Christmas.”

Berkeley DeVeer has transformed a greenfield site in the tranquil village of Hambleton into a bespoke £6m-plus collection of properties.

It has already proved popular with homebuyers, with no fewer than 25 out of the 27 houses in the first phase of the development already sold.

Apart from “The Dorchester”, only “The Haymarket” – a four-bedroom detached property, selling for £295,000 – remains available.

All the three and four-bedroomed detached houses have been created thanks to the “home-grown” talent of two key staff on site who joined as apprentices before cementing a career with the company.

One has progressed to become the assistant manager of the site at while the other is now the fork-lift truck driver.

Their progression signals the company’s determination not only to invest in sought-after locations, but also in the skills of their staff.

Homes on the cul-de-sac development are available through Help to Buy for selected purchasers.

Help to Buy is the Government-backed scheme which, according to latest figures, has proved more popular in North Yorkshire than elsewhere in the country.

Dan Newett added that the design of the development was tailored to meet the needs of the community as Hambleton’s appeal as a place to live continued to grow.

“Rosewood Vale is perfect for families and commuters, and those wishing to combine country and town lifestyles,” he said. “It offers great local education facilities, enviable transport links, and modern amenities aplenty with Selby’s growing town centre within five minutes’ drive.

“Factor in Leeds’ ever-growing metropolitan hub and York’s unmistakable maze of cobbled streets and history being just 20 miles away, and our development is the perfect solution for those looking for a mix of traditional and modern living.”

He added: “We may be a new name to the district but we have a long history in the craftsmanship of new homes.

“In fact, we bring to Hambleton a proven track record of more than 25 years’ expertise, during which time we have achieved the milestone of building over 1,000 properties.

“We’re delighted that our latest development here has equipped us with the ideal launchpad for building our next 1,000 homes.

“We are also proud of the role our former apprentices have played in contributing to this sales success story at Hambleton – and transferring the skills they have learned there to more of our projects in the pipeline.”
