A Build Your Own Burger restaurant is heading to Ilford very soon

A new BUILT Custom Burgers restaurant is coming to Ilford, London.

This follows the success of The Counter, which opened in Glasgow in June 2017. RDA has been appointed to design and fit-out the burger company’s first UK site.

Founded in Los Angeles, BUILT Custom Burgers is the ‘fast and casual’ version of The Counter, which is to serve buildable burgers, fries, shakes and more, in an industrial interior.

Nick Bradley, director at Restaurant Design Associates, said: “We are thrilled to be working with the team again to help bring BUILT to London.

“Part of the design challenge, as it was with The Counter, is ensuring that we translate the US brand for UK diners and we are working closely with our client in the UK and the BUILT operational and marketing teams in the US to ensure that happens.”

RDA was recently selected based on its design concept for The Counter, said to stay true to the brand’s American roots with a UK twist.

Coming soon to London, RDA’s team are currently creating an interior design for BUILT Custom Burgers which will have the same Los Angeles atmosphere as The Counter.

Interior features will include exposed brick and aged leather seating, conduit feature lighting and a rustic, feature piece counter hand-painted with the restaurant’s brand messaging.
