A very merry Christmas tree! Local housebuilder sponsors community festivities

Continuing its support of the communities in which it builds, leading housebuilder, Barratt Homes Yorkshire West is getting into the Christmas spirit by sponsoring the Waverley Residents Associations’ Christmas tree, based near its Evolution development in Waverley.

To celebrate the sponsorship, Sales Manager at Evolution, Gavin McCarthy, alongside Sales Adviser Debbie Land, visited the Christmas tree light switch on, which took place at Barratt Homes’ now completed Renaissance development. The team met with members of the Waverley Residents Association to enjoy festivities including Christmas carols, mulled wine, roast chestnuts and a visit from Santa himself.

Sarah Brown, member of the Waverley Residents Association Events sub-committee, commented: “We are all extremely grateful to Barratt Homes’ Evolution site and their help with funding our Christmas tree. It has allowed us to have a wonderful festive event and tree in the community for everyone to enjoy!”

Evolution’s Sales Manager, Gavin, commented: “It is very important that we contribute to the communities in which we build, which is why we were keen to ensure Waverley had a Christmas tree to be proud of. The lights switch on was such a brilliant event, and really demonstrated the excellent communities that are created amongst our developments.”

Alongside the community Christmas tree, families can enjoy some further festive cheer this year by collecting a special ‘magic key’ from the Evolution sales office. As all new-build houses are chimney free, families who live at the development or nearby are invited to pick up their ‘magic key’ from the sales advisers to help make sure Santa can still deliver some seasonal magic, despite not using his traditional entrance way this Christmas Eve.
