Manchester Sea Life Centre and Legoland Discovery Centre set for new attractions next year

Tourist attraction firm Merlin Entertainments will launch new features at Manchester Sea Life Centre and Legoland Discovery Centre in Spring next year.

The business is investing over £400k in the family-friendly attractions and will see two new, unearthly creatures swim into Manchester Sea Life Centre, as well as a new interactive experience at Legoland Discovery Centre.

Further details on the new experiences are being kept under wraps for now, however, bosses have confirmed both will bring something entirely new to the North West.

Already boosted by a £1m refurbishment programme earlier this year, the Legoland Centre now features three rides, 10 build and play zones, a 4D cinema, Lego® Ninjago City Adventure and a creative workshop.

Along with the Sea Life Centre, the two attractions have welcomed over 3.5m visitors collectively over the last seven years.

Speaking on the announcement Jenn McDonough, General Manager Manchester Cluster, Merlin Entertainments, said: “Manchester Sea Life Centre and Legoland Discovery Centre are two of our leading attractions and have been inspiring, exciting and educating families for over seven years.

“We’re committed to delivering new experiences for both first-time visitors and returning guests and promise 2018 will bring something incredible to the North West.
