Q2Q IT boosts technical team with two new hires

North West IT specialist Q2Q has expanded its technical team with a duo of appointments as the firm sets its sights on further growth.

Providing managed IT support to SMEs throughout the surrounding region, the newly created positions will enable the company to continue tackling clients’ often complex IT issues and meet a growing demand for proactive systems support in the region.

Martin Bilton will join the 10-strong team as technical manager, bringing 18 years’ industry experience to the position. With vast expertise in IT consultancy, end user support and systems management, he will be contributing his technical know-how to helping customers alongside enhancing existing internal procedures and proactivity.

Meanwhile, Phil Irwin will assume the role of technical support analyst. Having provided support for government and legal organisations in previous roles, he has a wealth of knowledge acquired through almost 20 years in IT. Phil will be assisting clients both remotely and on-site, resolving any issues and helping with new system set-ups.

These latest hires follow the recent expansion of Q2Q’s services to include GDPR assistance, alongside the core portfolio of managed IT support, proactive systems monitoring, cloud management, data recovery back-up and cyber-security protection.

Commenting on Q2Q’s growth, managing director Andrew Stellakis said: “It’s been an exciting year as we’ve welcomed more clients on board, extended our services into GDPR support and brought even more talented individuals into the fold.

“SMEs finally seem to be sitting up and realising that they don’t need to tackle everything on their own and that outsourcing IT isn’t just for bigger companies. And with so much work to be done when it comes to readying systems and procedures for the GDPR, we’re seeing an upturn in smaller companies realising it’s in their best interests to ask for help.”

Elaborating on the new appointments, Andrew continued: “Delivering a proactive and reliable service to our clients – and establishing a reputation that we’re proud of – can only be achieved with a knowledgeable and dedicated workforce. And that’s precisely what we’re building.

“Great people are integral to Q2Q and we’re lucky to have a core team that’s truly committed to providing our customers not just with solutions, but also peace of mind. The combined support experience and technical expertise that Martin and Phil have will be a huge help in this mission.”

With a 20% revenue increase projected for the 2017-18 financial year, when compared to the last annual figures, a further recruitment drive for customer support experts is already on the horizon for the IT specialist.
