Christmas comes early for fifty Merseyside NHS staff

Christmas has come early for fifty NHS staff who have won a spectacular ‘New York New York’ themed party at Aintree Racecourse.

Delighted nurses and support staff from Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, the Royal, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool Women’s Hospital and Liverpool Community Health NHS Trust have all won a glitzy night out from JD Parties.

They were nominated by grateful patients and supportive colleagues for their kind-hearted and hard-working approach.

JD Parties, who host a series of extravagant Christmas parties at Aintree Racecourse each year, launched a search on Facebook to find NHS staff who deserved to have a free Christmas party.

The response from patients and staff across Liverpool, Wirral and even as far as Wythenshawe, in south Manchester, was phenomenal with hundreds posting their nominations.

The five winners all win a table of 10 at JD Parties New York New York themed party at Aintree Racecourse.

JD Parties Facebook competition went viral in the search for NHS staff to win the prize.

The post said: “Do you know a brilliant, hardworking team of NHS staff who deserve a FREE #JDParties Christmas party at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool this year?

“We know you work incredibly hard, especially at Christmas when many of you will be spending time on the hospital wards instead of with your families.

“So as a reward, we are giving away 50 FREE TICKETS to NHS staff, for our spectacular ‘New York New York’ Christmas parties, at Aintree Racecourse!”

Managing Director of JD Parties Andrew Gentles said: “Christmas is always a busy time for the NHS and we know how hard and often how under rewarded doctors, nurses and specialists are at this time of year.

“Each year we offer NHS staff a discount but this year we wanted to do more for them. It has seemed a particularly wrought and difficult year for those who work in our hospitals.
