Levy Support Brought To UK's Women in Business
JB Skills Training has joined forces with Forward Ladies to ensure that the Levy is handled in the best possible way by women in business across the UK.
The training provider, which has it’s HQ in Sunderland with a host of training centres across the UK, has linked with Forward Ladies to bring support and advice to their 18,000 members, corporate partners and wider associations.
Launched at the National Summit and Awards event in Leeds, which saw over 400 people attend and the best women in their fields get high accolade, JB Skills is now supporting Forward Ladies via online and digital support avenues, which can be followed up with face to face services if required.
Dave Macmillan, managing director of JB Skills, explains the collaboration and how being a member of Forward Ladies can benefit Levy payers:
“There is still some confusion around the Levy and who pays it, what it can be used for and how to best utilise it. Forward Ladies is an outstanding organisation with many members and corporate members who fall into the Levy paying category.
“Having met with the managing director, Griselda Togobo, we realised that between us we were in a perfect position to help many women in business maximise this opportunity for free, ensuring they access training and information that can have a positive impact on their business.”
JB Skills Training is an award winning company that although is only 3 years old, has grown to a turnover of over £4m last year and now employs over 50 people.
Griselda Togobo said:
“We support, mentor and assist women to thrive in business through events, digital and face to face services.
“With six bases across the UK, and growing year on year, we have a large reach. We work with many corporates as well as women in their own businesses of all sizes. As part of our commitment to our members we are always on the look out for partners that can bring added value and extra support. JB Skills Training were perfectly positioned to do that with understanding the Levy.”
