Teesside Women To Get The Support They Need In Business
Forward Ladies has announced that it is bringing its national networking, training and mentoring to Teesside, in a bid to empower businesswomen in the region.
From January 2018, women in Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas will have access to a monthly meeting as well as many other members benefits, including online and digital support, mentoring and access to information and sign posting.
The leading organisation has chosen the luxurious and aspirational Commerce House in Middlesbrough as its venue of choice.
Appointed regional director for Forward Ladies and host of the events in the region, Antonia Brindle, said:
“Forward Ladies has been running successfully in six locations across the country, including Newcastle, for a number of years now. Since launching in 1999 the organisation has offered support to many women in business, delivering innovative events and services to help females achieve their career aspirations.
“Every September Newcastle plays host to the regional awards that brings together women from Scotland, Yorkshire and the North East. This year many Teesside women showed a real interest in these awards, so when we looked at where was the best place to open our seventh regional operation in the UK, we chose Middlesbrough.
“Commerce House was a natural location for us, as it is synonymous with the area’s business community and well respected as a aspirational landmark. It also offers the right business support and following its renovation the meeting rooms and event space ooze quality.”
Christine Huntington of Commerce House is delighted to see Forward Ladies coming to Teesside and jumped at the chance to offer to be the host.
Commerce House is a Grade II listed building in the heart of TS1 just opposite the train station. It has been converted in a luxury business community following an investment of £1.2 million. Offering office space available to rent, inclusive of services and broadband from as little as £200 per month, the building also boasts hot desks, meeting rooms and virtual office services.
Christine said:
“As a support organisation for women in business, there is not another group like Forward Ladies. The networking is only a small part of the offering, and as a member the benefits and access to services is second to none. We are delighted to be the partnering host in Teesside.
“The first Forward Ladies event is on Thursday January 25th, so those that attend will get a VIP tour of the building too, as we will just be finishing our works. As a business community Commerce House is keen to support those in enterprise and this partnership is a great way for us to reach out into the Teesside business community further.”
The Forward Ladies breakfast events will be held at Commerce House on the last Thursday of every month. Ladies can attend on a month-by-month basis or there is an annual membership option, which opens up the full range of benefits. To register for the event please visit:
