Dragons’ Den lands three entrepreneurial brothers of Mo Bro’s a major £150k deal

Entering Dragons’ Den tonight were the founders behind Mo Bro’s, a company selling high quality shaving and grooming products for men.

Keval, Kunal and Savan Dattani asked for £150k investment for five per cent of their company, giving an impressive pitch to the Dragons.

Mo Bro’s opportunity to appear on the BBC Two show came earlier this year and, after careful consideration, the brothers decided to join the show just three days before filming.

So time was definitely not on their side, however the brothers split and prepared their pitch nevertheless. Keval decided to cover the brand, products and formulations; Kunal worked out figures and Savan handled market research and business credibility.

And despite what they thought would be a disastrous pitch, four of the five Dragons wanted to invest in Mo Bro’s - Touker Suleyman withdrew due to an existing business conflict.

Mo Bro’s co-founder, Keval Dattani, said: “Being in the Den was an amazing experience for us, and we really enjoyed sharing our plans for Mo Bro’s with the Dragons.

“We’re thrilled to come away from the pitch with not one, but two Dragons on board, both of whom can add valuable advice, experience and contacts to our growing business.

“You prepare for all kinds of scenarios, but I don’t think any of us thought we’d be in a situation where we’d come away with such a large investment!”

The brothers agreed on a joint deal of £150k with Tej Lalvani and Peter Jones for 20 per cent of the business split equally.

Savan added: “We were a bit nervous about being on TV at first but overall, it was just a fun experience. Filming the show was definitely interesting, we didn’t know what to expect and it’s an intense environment. Pitch prep took over our lives in those three days…”

Despite the lack of sleep, the brothers left the Den with an incredible deal from the Dragons, and they’re certainly looking forward to Mo Bro’s’ next stage of development to “ensure all men with facial hair have luxury, affordable products.”
