Home services company 0800 Repair to create 30 North East jobs
Plans have been announced by home services business 0800 Repair to create 30 new jobs.
Based in Houghton-le-Spring, 0800 Repair specialises in the maintenance of domestic goods, and is aiming to boost its workforce by 25 per cent, taking its white goods engineers to 150.
The business works with various manufacturers and retailers in the UK, with its network of engineers repairing and installing domestic appliances, including washing machines and fridges.
Scott Pallister, Pacifica Group’s finance director, commented: “We are set to deliver another strong year within Pacifica Appliance Services following a positive and hugely successful 2017.
“Demand for our services has continued to rise, which has contributed to the growth of the business and the necessity to expand our workforce and engineering network.”
This announcement forms part of Pacifica Appliance Services, a subsidiary of Pacifica Group, and one of the country’s biggest providers of home services and product warranty.
Pacifica Group reported that an eight-figure contract win in 2017 with npower, lead to the company’s revenues increasing to more than £40m.
It also acquired businesses including a white goods repair firm, Megan Technical Services.
In total, the group employs more than 480 staff. This figure is set to rise as 0800 Repair is aiming to further its job creation in its subsidiaries in 2018.
Pallister concluded: “Continued investment in our infrastructure has allowed the group to operate at a high level and we are looking to hit the ground running in 2018, while maintaining and building on our high levels of customer service.”
