Independent North East electric charging supplier announces third UK office
A North East supplier and installer of electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment has announced its opening of a third office in the UK.
Based in Almondsbury, Bristol, Elmtronics’ new premises have arrived after the company’s three-year growth plan announcement to create 30 new jobs, mainly in the North East.
Anthony Piggott, technical director, said: “The electric vehicle market is predicted to expand rapidly over the next decade and Elmtronics’ strategy, coupled with this market boom, will unlock huge growth potential.”
The Bristol office is to be the company’s third location since forming in 2014, along with its headquarters in County Durham and existing office near Heathrow Airport.
Founded by Anthony Piggott and Dan Martin, the company is currently seeking investment to support growth in key areas, including product offerings and expansion into new markets.
With domestic sales of electric vehicles expected to grow from 100,000 to over 10m by 2030, Elmtronics aims to make a move into the residential charging market by March 2018.
Elmtronics works with NHS Trusts as well as some of the largest councils, and private companies like Nike, Keepmoat and Arriva.
