A network for success
Birmingham newcomer, Arden Group, marks its most successful year after growing revenue by 40%
Since relocating to Birmingham in July, managed IT and telecoms provider Arden Group has quickly become part of the city’s successful business landscape, increasing revenue from £7.1million to c.£10million, doubling profits to £1.2million and expanding its team by 25%.
This transformative year has been driven by very strong organic growth and an ambitious acquisition strategy, devised to cater for the increase in demand for a single supplier of managed IT and telecoms solutions. The most recent acquisition was that of Birmingham-based IT support specialists, Computerworld Business Solutions (CBS), adding advanced Microsoft capablilties and in-depth online security knowledge to the already expanding product portfolio.
Alongside acquisitions, the appointment of Mike Gower as Group Sales Director has further bolstered Arden’s success. With an IT and telecoms background spanning more than 12 years, Mike has overseen the successful integration of CBS while driving month-on-month sales growth through cross-sell opportunities and broadening the Group’s portfolio of clients.
Mike said: “This has been a hugely successful year for us and we’re very excited for what our future in Birmingham holds. Alongside a more suitable location which lends itself to our way of working, being in the heart of the city has allowed us to tap into the pool of local talent when hiring new team members, something which has strengthened our expertise and contributed greatly to our growth.
“While the constant development of our business is important to us, our commitment to customers is even more critical as we respond to the ever demanding IT & communications convergence in the marketplace. One of the greatest challenges facing businesses right now is that of cybersecurity, and it’s these solutions which have seen the strongest growth across our portfolio of clients this year, driven by high-profile attacks such as Petya and WannaCry.
“Companies are now waking up to the fact that any business, no matter its size, is a target for cybercriminals and ignoring the dangers not only puts clients at risk, but also the company’s reputation. That’s why we’ve invested heavily in expanding our account management team, enabling us to deliver an industry-leading service to customers across the UK, supporting them in overcoming these challenges whilst looking to secure all areas of their IT & communications estate.”
In 2017, Arden Group also received notability amongst its industry partners, achieving Microsoft Gold, Gamma Platinum and Sophos Gold status, demonstrating the team’s commitment to delivering exceptional service.
