New 43,000 sq ft care facility in Formby to create 80 jobs
Construction work is now underway on a multi-million pound care home in Formby, Merseyside.
The £15m facility, located on Liverpool Road at the site of the former Mayflower Industrial Estate, will create around 80 jobs.
Spanning more than 43,000 sq ft, the centre will comprise 76 beds along with communal lounges, dining rooms, spa assisted bathrooms, a hair salon, nail bar and landscaped gardens.
The site will be development-led care home operator New Care’s seventh facility, providing residential, nursing and specialist dementia care services.
New Care CEO Chris McGoff commented: “We are delighted to have started work on site and are very much looking forward to introducing the New Care brand to Formby.
“The plans for our latest care facility are superb; we will deliver a sophisticated, modern, purpose-built home which offers high quality care with first class hotel-style services.”
New Care, part of development business McGoff Group, works with partner McGoff Construction throughout the design and build process.
Speaking further, Chris said: “It is a very exciting time for New Care with the company continuing to expand. Having recently opened care homes in Sale (Greater Manchester) and Lytham St Annes, and a further home due to open in Chester in early 2018, we are thrilled to have added Formby to our ever growing portfolio.”
Demolition has already started on site. Completion is due in early 2019.
