Neaco reports record order book in 2017
Malton-based architectural product manufacturer, Neaco, has completed a record year of sales with a 57% increase in orders compared to 2016.
The company’s balconies, balustrade, decking and mobility bathroom products attracted unprecedented demand in 2017 and Neaco has already hit its order target for the current financial year, ending in April. The next target is a 50% increase in turnover in 2018 with substantial specifications due for completion at various major projects, including Bridgewater Point in Salford, Trinity College Business School in Dublin and the Castle View retirement village in Windsor. Neaco has established excellent credentials as a sustainable building supplier with a number of products that are manufactured from 100% recycled and 100% recyclable aluminium.
National Sales Manager, Peter Melia, commented on the company’s record year:
“2017 was Neaco’s 45th year in business and we had plenty of cause for celebration. Our products were installed at a number of high profile developments, including the Museum of Free Derry, Steel City House in Sheffield and the latest phase of the Buckingham Palace refurbishment. However, a large percentage of this year’s record sales figures has been driven by a huge increase in orders of our decking and balcony flooring systems following their adoption as a UK-wide standard specification by a number of national developers. In 2017 we completed specifications at seven retirement villages and care homes, and we already have orders for eleven similar projects due for completion in 2018. We have also secured orders from five major bridge schemes.”
Neaco has always been a company committed to research and development and our continual investment in that aspect of the business has really paid dividends over the past twelve months. Construction is a highly competitive industry which is subject to ever-evolving regulation and best practice, so it’s vital to continue refining and improving your products in all areas of performance, from lifespan to sustainability and carbon footprint. Having the strategic foresight to focus on those key performance requirements has played an important part in the record-breaking success that we have enjoyed this year.“
