Businesses Broadband Speeds set to be transformed
It’s an exciting time for businesses across Bristol as ultrafast, full fibre connectivity is on its way. ITS Technology Group (ITS), one of the fastest growing alternative network (altnet) providers in the UK, has agreed to an exclusive concession deal with Bristol City Council, to start the roll out of dedicated leased lines with connectivity speeds of up to 10Gbps.
As one of the most digitally aware cities in the UK, Bristol businesses need the quickest and most reliable connectivity available, and with funding vouchers towards the upgrade, businesses have a lot to gain from the scheme.
With the launch of the ITS and funded Gigabit Connection Voucher Scheme, no matter if businesses are looking for a faster connection, a larger bandwidth or to better utilise cloud services - this leased line installation will benefit all.
The Gigabit Connection Voucher Scheme is also offering businesses up to £3,000 funding contribution towards the works. This could completely transform how Bristol companies communicate with customers, suppliers and stakeholders as well as enhancing their employee’s productivity by enabling them to work faster and smarter.
Leased lines will also allow businesses to take advantage of other services that can assist with saving money and improving productivity. Services such as VoIP which means lower cost telephony services, Office 365 allowing you to work from any device anywhere, cloud storage, desktop video conferencing, secure Virtual Private Networks (VPN), CCTV and faster data backups.
Darren Thompson, senior business development manager at ITS Technology Group said: “We were delighted to be offered an exclusive concession with Bristol City Council, we can fully see their future vision for the city and its digital capacity.
“With 100km of existing duct and fibre to be tapping into, this will ensure costs are kept competitive and disruption kept to a minimum during installation.
“By increasing the availability of connectivity across Bristol, businesses of all shapes and sizes stand to benefit from the plethora of applications that this home-grown ultrafast digital infrastructure enables.”
