Delifonseca Dockside serves up a taste of Scotland with Burns Night celebration
Delifonseca Dockside is set to host its annual Burns Night celebration on Thursday, January 25 in honour of the famous Scotch poet Robert Burns.
To mark the occasion, the Brunswick Quay eatery will be serving up a three-course menu featuring traditional Scottish delicacies from Haggis to Haunch of Venison.
For a true taste of Scotland, guests will be also invited to enjoy a complementary dram of Scotch Whisky on arrival.
Proprietor of Delifonseca Candice Fonseca said: “In celebration of Burns Night, Delifonseca Dockside will be raising a wee dram to Scotland’s most famous poet. We will be serving our own unique take on Highland classics with a delicious three-course menu created using the finest quality Scottish produce.
“With a variety of dishes to celebrate the life and work of Robert Burns, guests can wash down their meals with fine Scotch Whisky from the likes of innovative producers Compass Box and the Spencerfield Spirit Company as well as classic single malts such as Laphroaig and Dalwhinnie. We encourage all foodie-lovers to don their tartan and join us for what is guaranteed to be an exceptional evening of eating and drinking.”
To start, guests can opt for the likes of Cock-a-Leekie with Whisky Jelly or Scottish Crab Millefeuille with Pickled Mussels before indulging in one of five main course dishes including Sautee of Venison Haunch with Kalekenny & Roasted Root Vegetables or Fillet of Salmon with a Smoked Haddock Cream with Creamy Mash and Crispy Kale. For Haggis lovers, the classic dish features as both a starter and a main course and vegetarians can tuck into Chef Martin Cooper’s homemade version.
Candice added: “Sweet-toothed diners are in for a treat this Burns Night with the likes of Bitter Chocolate Tart, Whisky Jellies & Raspberries Cranachan and the controversial Deep-Fried Mars Bar with Cheshire Farm Vanilla Ice Cream, which will be gracing our menu for one night only.”
The Burns Night menu is priced at £30 per person with a complementary whisky dram available for those dining between 5pm and 6.45pm. Booking is essential.
