PART EXCHANGE MAKES IT EASY FOR FAMILIES TO MOVE CROSS COUNTRY

Having swapped Liverpool for Derby 20 years ago, Celia Jukka dreamt of the day that she could return to her hometown and now, thanks to Countryside’s Part Exchange initiative, making the move back up north has been made easy. Celia, 47 moved from Huyton to Derby with her husband Andrew, 49, but are now going back to their roots with a new home at Countryside’s Harrington Place development in Roby. Celia commented: “We moved a long time ago for Andrew’s work but I never really wanted to leave Liverpool - we’re both from big families so it was hard to move so far away from everyone. “The move was particularly difficult as our children were very young at the time - the youngest being just two weeks old. We settled into Derby quickly and have enjoyed our time there, but our long-term plan has always been to go back to Liverpool.” By using Part Exchange Celia and Andrew were able to avoid costly estate agent fees and secure a quick sale as Countryside bought their previous home from them. Celia added: “Not being stuck in a chain was a big relief to us - knowing that you’ve already sold your home is a huge weight off your shoulders and massive help, especially when you’re relocating. We would recommend it to anyone - it made the process so easy, especially moving districts. “We did look at other developments nearby, but we weren’t impressed as the houses seemed too small - definitely not what you need when you have teenagers!

“When we looked at Harrington Place I thought that it would be out of our price range because it’s such a grand development, but luckily it wasn’t as we had already fallen in love with it.”

The family is moving from a four-bedroom semi-detached house into a five-bedroom detached Paddington home and they waited until the whole process was finalised before telling their extended family. Celia added: “The Paddington is a stunning family home and the development is perfectly laid out. It’s such a luxurious property - we can’t wait to have the whole family round to show it off! “We kept the move a secret because we didn’t want to jinx anything. It was hard not to tell anyone about our plans though. We’re most excited to go back to our roots and being surrounded by our family.
