Top Teesside legal team starts 2018 recruitment drive
Endeavour Partnership has added another leading solicitor to its team as it begins its 2018 expansion plans.
Theresa Carling joins the Stockton-based legal firm as a senior associate in the employment department, headed by Stephen Elliott, and brings with her almost 20 years’ experience in her sector.
Theresa’s experience spans all aspects of employment practice where she advises in relation to complex employment queries and litigation, particularly in dealing with employment tribunals, defending class actions, defending whistleblowing and discrimination claims and dealing with unfair dismissal matters. She is also an expert in advising in relation to complex queries in all areas of employment law and has experience across a host of commercial transactions including sales and purchases and academy conversions.
For private clients, Theresa has considerable experience in negotiating favourable terms of departure for senior executives. She also delivers bespoke training to clients and regularly presents at seminars where she is a respected and popular speaker.
At the end of 2017, Endeavour Partnership announced its most successful year in the firm’s 18-year history. The Stockton-based business law firm is a year ahead of its anticipated growth plans. Endeavour remains on track to deliver its five-year business planning objective of doubling its turnover during this period.
The Teesdale firm currently employs a team of 54 and hopes to create around six new jobs in 2018.
Speaking about joining Endeavour, Theresa said: “I am very excited to be joining Endeavour during this period of expansion and growth. Having worked alongside Stephen Elliott previously, this opportunity was too good to miss and I’m delighted to be joining such a widely respected team of commercial lawyers.”
Managing partner at Endeavour Partnership, Paul Bury, said: “Theresa has a very broad range of experience working largely with commercial clients and senior level executives. This wealth of experience means that her biggest strength is in helping clients make the decisions about their employees that they want to take, and making that happen by combining her extensive knowledge of this area of law with vast tribunal experience, meaning she is well-placed to provide sound commercial advice. Theresa is a real asset to our growing team at a vital time in our development.”
Endeavour Partnership has a reputation spanning over 18 years in providing high quality advice on a range of business law matters including mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, employment and pensions, business immigration, commercial property and corporate recovery and insolvency from its headquarters at Teesdale in Stockton.
The firm was again recognised as one of the North East’s top corporate and commercial practices in the prestigious Legal 500 and Chambers guides with every department highly ranked.
Endeavour works with a range of clients including Santander, ESCO Corporation, Visualsoft, Atkinson Northern, Leven Investments, Yarm School and Cavendish Northern.
