Building work starts on £11.5m retirement community in Southport
Work is now underway on a multi-million pound retirement scheme in Southport.
Building firm Bardsley Construction is delivering the £11.5m project on Alexandra Road for property company Adlington.
The development will comprise 55 apartments across a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom dwellings, along with a restaurant, residents’ lounge, hair salon, spa suite, activities room and landscaped gardens.
The scheme will also feature 24-hour on-site support for homeowners.
Claire Reede, marketing manager at Adlington, said: “The development sits in the heart of the community, just a short distance from the town centre and close to the beautiful Hesketh Park – plus there’s a bus stop just down the road.
“To provide elegant retirement living apartments, with the option of 24-hour support, in such a convenient location, is fantastic.”
The homes will be available to purchase for those aged 55 and over.
Claire continued: “Our apartments are great for those looking to downsize and we pride ourselves in helping purchasers every step of the way; from helping to sell their original property, de-cluttering and removals, to a complimentary handyman service when they move in.”
