International law firm boosts London-based shipping team
International law firm Hill Dickinson has given its London shipping team a boost with the appointment of a new partner.
Siiri Duddington, who joined the Liverpool-headquartered company’s Broadgate Tower office, was formerly a partner at Campbell Johnston Clark (CJC) Solicitors.
She advised on a range of dry shipping, trade and insurance litigation during her six-year stint with CJC, acting for owners, charterers, protection and indemnity clubs, traders, insurers and others.
Siiri’s experience in commercial contracts disputes covers charterparty, bill of lading, MOA, COA, pooling agreements, marine insurance and sale contracts, in addition to shipbuilding and rig disputes.
The hire follows the appointment of Siiri’s former colleague Julian Clark, who joined the Broadgate Tower team as global head of shipping last year.
Julian said: “I am absolutely delighted to be working once more with such a dedicated and internationally recognised lawyer.
“Siiri joins the new and expanding shipping team and will further bolster our ability to provide the very best and cost effective legal solutions for our clients.”
Siiri commented: “I look forward to joining Hill Dickinson at a time when the firm and its shipping team in particular, is re-positioning itself strategically, and investing considerably in its services in order to offer clients personalised and exceptional expertise, both locally and globally.”
Hill Dickinson’s shipping practice operates from offices in London, Liverpool, Piraeus, Singapore, Monaco and Hong Kong.
