Local entrepreneur launches international cleaning franchise in South Belfast

An internationally-renowned cleaning company has been launched by Newry businessman, William Hogg the 4th, who purchased the license to provide domestic and commercial reactive cleaning services across the south of Belfast with his new business, ServiceMaster Clean.

Born and bred in Newry, William Hogg chose to invest in the company, which is a franchise of ServiceMaster, to build a business for his family and provide much-needed reactive cleaning services to clients. ServiceMaster Clean launched in the UK in 1959 and utilises the latest stain removal and drying technology to provide its customers with an industry-leading service. The company also provides emergency services for removing needles and dangerous items from public spaces, cleaning up after fly tipping and works closely with many of the major insurance companies.

With over 25 years’ experience working for his family’s flooring and furniture business, Hoggs Furniture Centre in Newry, William Hogg, owner said: “I’ve been searching for a business to invest in that I had some experience of and could see a future in for my family. ServiceMaster Clean is a big name in the restoration sector and I’m excited about getting out on the road in the iconic yellow van and working closely with customers who need our help.

“Property damage incidents can be a distressing time for property owners but our devotion to personal service will ensure that we care for each and every client as if it were our own property.”

ServiceMaster has over 300 franchisees operating in close to 700 licensed areas under its brands, including Merry Maids, ServiceMaster Clean, Furniture Medic, TruGreen Professional LawnCare and Rosemary Bookkeeping. ServiceMaster Clean was named as the 26th best franchise to invest in in a report Elite 100.
