Hot shot NETA is in the running for Welding World award
A Stockton training group is in the running for a national title after being recognised for its delivery of expert welding training. NETA Training Group, which delivers a wide range of engineering technical training to industrial sectors, has been voted in the top 20 for the Welding World Awards’ Best Welding Industry Training Provider category. Now invited to present to a panel of judges, if shortlisted, the training group could go on to be invited to a glittering awards ceremony, hosted by TV presenter Eamonn Holmes, where the final winners will be announced. “We are delighted to have made it this far in such a prestigious award scheme,” said NETA’s commercial training manager Graham Middleditch. The World Welding Awards are impartial, independent awards that are open to any company operating in the welding industry. The aim is to find those that are among the best at what they do. With all nominees having featured in an online voting process, Graham said: “To make it through to the final 20 shows that people are happy with the service they have received from NETA and the quality of our training services. “It is also recognition of the quality and experience of our staff and dedication to delivering service excellence to our clients shown every day by the entire team.” Committed to meeting employers’ future demands for welding expertise, in 2017 NETA Training Group invested £75,000 into high tech welding equipment and facilities, adding 10 brand new bays, including a state of the art fume extraction system to its facility off Portrack Lane. The expanded facility has enabled the company to offer increased availability to employers looking to train, test and certify their welders to recognised industry standards. Commercial engineering co-ordinator Iain Taylor said: “Welding is like the bricks and mortar of industry. The expansion of our facilities can only help us to improve our service to both private individuals and companies, giving better availability with high spec welding equipment. “It’s great to be shortlisted for the Best Welding Industry Training Provider title, it would be fantastic, both for NETA and for the region, to be able to bring this award to Teesside.”
