PK Education increases presence across West Yorkshire with new Leeds office
Fast-growing supply teacher agency PK Education has announced the opening of a new office in Leeds.
PK’s newest office has opened its doors at Princes Exchange near Leeds train station and sees the company double its network of premises in just 12 months. The new Leeds base is part of the company’s aim to grow its presence across West Yorkshire and follows the opening of its Wakefield branch last year.
It is being headed up by Neil Waddington, the former Business Development Manager at the company’s Wakefield office, with Leanne Pope as Client Relationship Manager. PK will also be looking to recruit two additional staff members.
Neil, who has more than 12 years of education recruitment experience, said he was delighted to be bringing PK Education to Leeds.
He said: “PK has a growing national client base and it’s fantastic to have a base in Leeds to better service schools in the city and surrounding area with the high-quality teaching staff we attract.”
Established by Karl Housley and Paul Gallagher in 2005 PK Education prides itself on its fresh approach to recruitment, which matches staff to schools based on their skills, experience and personality, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
The PK approach to recruitment is attracting quality teaching staff and support staff to meet the increasing demand from schools. The company’s rapid expansion in 2017 follows a company rebrand and major investment in its systems and processes.
Last year saw new offices and staff recruitment in Leicester, Wakefield and Manchester. PK also has bases in Newcastle, Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham.
Commenting on the company’s record year of growth, Lee Carpenter, Director of PK Education said: “Schools and teachers recognise we take a different approach to recruitment which makes us to stand out in the industry. “We put huge emphasis on intelligently matching our clients with the right schools and we have some of the best recruitment consultants in the sector to help us achieve this.
“Last year was an incredibly exciting time for PK and we expect even more success in 2018.”
PK Education supplies teachers, cover supervisors and classroom assistants to primary, secondary and Special Educational Needs schools as well as Pupil Referral Units an hospital schools.
