Manchester's Morson Group acquires Canadian recruitment company

Technical recruitment firm Morson Group has given its footprint across the Atlantic a boost with the acquisition of a Canadian business.

Burlington-based recruiter Strategic Infusion is now owned by Manchester-headquartered Morson.

The deal, completed for an undisclosed sum, includes the acquisition of Strategic’s four arms of business – Commissioning & Technical Services, in Canada; Commissioning & Technical Services and Comtask Global, in the US; and Puerto Rico-based MComm Solution.

According to a report by Recruiter, Morson Group chief exec Ged Mason said: “There is a clear need for the talent and expertise in these sectors that we can source for our clients.

“The wider group’s combined geographical presence will enhance reach and aid development of local personalised relationships with consultants, sub-contractors and clients, and also provide the best possible continuity and variety of work assignments for our engaged contractor workforces.”

Strategic Infusion was founded in 2005 and today has more than 400 contractors.

Morson Group, which dates back to 1969, operates across 40 offices globally.
