East Yorkshire marketing agency completes takeover of rival business
Bluestorm, the East Yorkshire-based integrated marketing services agency, has completed the acquisition of rival business Linfoots.
Established in 1989, Linfoots is a design, advertising and marketing agency based in Beverley. This acquisition follows on from the decision of its founder, David Linfoot, to retire at the end of 2017.
Bluestorm, which was launched in 2000, is a full service marketing and design agency, offering a full range of PR, marketing, digital media and design services.
David said: “I am absolutely confident that Bluestorm will be able to provide continuity of service to Linfoots clients. I’m sure too that they will be able to build on what we have achieved.
“Bluestorm offer a wider range of marketing support services than we have done traditionally and are developing new ways to integrate them to deliver maximum return on investment.”
Andy Cawley, managing director of Bluestorm, commented: “We had always respected David’s work, having seen it at first hand by working on several shared clients.
“We knew too that we had the necessary skills and sector experience to look after his clients. We thought the that the two business would fit together well and, as a result, Bluestorm took over Linfoots on the 1st January 2018.
“It has made for a busy but exciting start to the new year, as we welcome new colleagues and clients, and celebrate our first award win of 2018. Congratulations to David on his retirement, we wish him all the very best for the future.”
As a result of the takeover, Linfoots’ offices in Beverley have closed. Linfoot’s senior designer, Mark Waudby, has transferred to Bluestorm’s design studio and David Linfoot will be working from Bluestorm’s offices in Melton until the move is complete.
