Journalist school sets up at Grade II-listed office building in Manchester
Real estate advisor CBRE together with Colliers has secured a final occupier for Carlton House, a Grade II Listed building in Manchester’s Albert Square.
Journalism school News Associates has established a new office in Manchester’s Albert Square.
The company signed up for 3,940 sq ft on the second floor at Carlton House, taking the last remaining space at the Grade II-listed office building.
News Associates provides NCTJ courses for prospective journalists.
Carlton House, which dates back to 1873, recently underwent a £1m-plus refurbishment.
The building’s owner, Carlton House Group, brought Manchester-based interior fit-out specialist Mark Trotter of Design Department on board for the seven-figure makeover.
Other tenants of the scheme include State Bank of India, Nexus Solicitors and independent external façade company Taylor Maxwell.
The final suite was jointly marketed by property firms CBRE and Colliers International.
