Chelsea FC announce Stamford Bridge upgrades

Chelsea FC are upgrading the disabled provision at Stamford Bridge.

The club this morning (February 12) confirmed plans to increase the number of wheelchair spaces at the ground to 219.

Some additional spaces will be available for supporters this season, although the total number will not be available until the 2018/19 campaign.

The changes will reduce overall capacity by about 800 seats, or 2% of the stadium’s overall figure.

In a statement on their website, Chelsea said season ticket holders affected or displaced will be notified and given first option on relocating their seats.

The club made the decision to upgrade after consulting the Equality and Human Rights Commission alongside the Chelsea Disabled Supporters Association.
